Mô tả: Date of preparing: 08/09/2021 Period 16 UNIT 3: AT HOME LESSON 3: B2-3 A.Objectives: - Read the dialogue and the text to know the jobs of the members of Hoa's family and Lan's family. - By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to understand the dialogue, the text for main ideas, details and use job vocabulary. 1. Practice skill: - practice comprehension reading, speaking and writing skill. 2. Basic language: - Vocabulary: farm (n),journalist (n), newspaper (n), sick (a), primary school ,to take care of - Structure: What do you do? What is your job? (I’m a farmer. I grow vegestables and raise cattle.) What does she do? (She is a nurse. She takes care of sick children.) Where do you/ does she work? ( I work on the farm/ She works in a hospital.) + Standard knowledge: ask and answer about jbs of the members of Lan' s and Hoa's family. + Advanced knowledge: Practice talking about the jobs of their own parents. 3. Attitude: - Help ss to have good consciousness in order to practice reading for main ideas and details, and do exercises. B. Preparations 1. Teacher: lesson plan, English 7-book, computer, projectors 2. Students: review the grammar points and vocabulary, English 7-book, C. Techniques: - Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work - Some techniques can be used: Brainstorming, Matching, True- False staments, Survey, Write it up. D. The members of each team go to the board and write the words they have remember III-New lesson Activity 1: Pre - reading (10’) 1.Vocabulary ( translation ) ( picture ) ( explanation ) ( realia ) - Sts listen. -Listen and repeat (chorally then individually). - Copy. * Checking: Rub out and Remember 2. Matching (B3 - P35) - Ask ss to work in pairs to match the half sentences . - Call on ss to call out the complete sentences 3. True- False staments prediction - Set the scence: Lan is talking about her parents’job.Guess which staments is true and which is false. - Shows a poster of 3 staments on the board - Ask ss to keep their books closed, read the staments on the poster and guess which staments is true and which is false - Get ss to read the statements and work with their partners in 2 minutes. - Give feed back Activity 2: While – reading(15’) 1. Reading and Cheking - Get ss to read the texts B2 on page 33 - 34 and check their prediction - Ask ss to correct if the staments are not true. 2. Comprehension question: (B, 2 - P.33, 34) - Ask sts to work in pairs to answer the questions in 3 mins. * Noughts and Crosses: - Let sts play the game in two teams. Activity 3: Post - reading (10’) Survey - Ask ss to write the form in their note books . - Run through the quetions: - Get ss to ask their partners and write the information in the form - Give feedback and ask ss to tell the class about their partner’s family members * Brainstorming teacher 1. Practice skill: - practice comprehension listening, speaking and writing skill. 2. Basic language: - Vocabulary: high school, magazine - Structure: He is+ nghề nghiệp. He is + tuổi. He works + nơi làm việc + Standard knowledge: Listen for details about name, age, job and place of work. Rewrite in full sentences. E.g: a, He is……. III-New lesson(35’): Teacher & students’ activities Contents * Warm up Pelmanism - Prepare 10 cards with numbers on one side and the jobs and the denitions on the other - Stick the card son the board so that the students can only see the numbers - Divide the class into two teams and ask them to choose two numbers at the same time - Turn over 2 cards and see if they match - Give the team one mark if 2 cards match .If not , turn the cards face down again and ask other teams to choose the numbers - Continue untill all cards are finished Activity 1: Pre-listening (10’) 1. Activity 3: Post –listening(10’) Write it up - 15 minute test ( one point for each sentence ) - Ask sts to use the information in the grid to write about Tom, Susan and Bill . - Correct any mistakes after collecting sts' papers . 1.
