Objectives: 1.Knowledge: vocabulary about a visit to Viet Nam, some expressions to express one’s interest and make requests By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to know how to use some expressions to express their interest and make requests, and answer the T/F questions. 2.Competences: communicative competence, linguistic competence, cooperative competence, self-study competence. Listening, reading and speaking. 3. Behavior : Sts love the country and want to know more about some places of interest B. Preparations: - Teacher: lesson plan, textbook, workbook, laptop, speakers - Students: look up new words. C. Procedure: I.Organization: ( 1 minute) - Greeting: Good morning! - Who’s absent today? Content: Chech up passive form and Ss’homework . c. Outcome: Students write passive form of some tenses. d. Activity 2. Presentation: (16') a. Aim: to present vocabulary about a visit to Viet Nam b. Content: Teach vocabulary and Students can know some new words. c. Outcome: Ss know some new words and know what that they are going to listen and read the dialogue about a visit to Viet nam of Tim and his family. d. Organization: Teacher’activities Students’activities - sets the scene: Hoa meets Tim at the airport. Tim introduces Hoa to his family. Aims: : - By the end of the lesson ss will be able to know the places of interest in Viet Nam, Help ss understand and practice the dialogue between Hoa and Tim at the airport. Listen and read a dialogue and check the sentences. Ss can use some expressions to express their interest. - The knowledge needs to get: + Standard knowledge: Practice the dialogue and check the sentences + Advanced knowledge: Ask and answer questions about the dialogue -Basic language: + Vocabulary: seat(n) ; exciting(a); crop (n); sugar cane(n) + Structures : - “Ed” and “ing” participles - Would/ Do you mind if I…? Would/ Do you mind + V(ing)…? 2. Practice skill: - Practice listening, reading. 3. Attitude: Help ss to have good consciousness in order to practice the dialogue and check the sentences. III. New lesson: Step 1. Pre- reading: (8’) 1. Pre- teach + Guiding questions : - Set the scene: The Jones come to Vietnam and Hoa meets them at the airport. Now listen to the conversation between Mr and Mrs Jones and Hoa - Put the chart with questions on the board a. Where does Hoa meet The Jones ? b. Is it the first time The Jones have visited Viet Nam? c. How do they travel to Ha Noi ? d. What do they see along the road to Ha Noi ? e. What would Tim like to do ? - Ask Ss to think about the questions in a few minutes - Have Ss listen to the tape while reading the dialogue - Get Ss to work in pairs to answer the questions - Call on some pairs to give their answers - Feedback : a. The knowledge needs to get: + Standard knowledge: Read and check the topic mentioned (exercise 1), then answer the questions + Advanced knowledge: Answer some more questions (exercise 2) . Basic language: Vocabularyue: resort (n); sight (n); accommodation (n); arrival (n); departure (n); stream (n); heritage (n); tribe(n);0 sunbathe(v) Structures: Present simple 2. Skill: - Practice the comprehension reading skill, writing and speaking skill. 3.
