Aims: To know about video games and some disadvantages of playing video games . 2. Practice skill: - practice the comprehension reading skill. 3. The knowledge needs to get: + Standard knowledge: Read a text for details about video games and some disadvantages of playing video games . Do exercises after reading + Advanced knowledge: Discuss about disadvantages of playing video games 4. Basic language: - Vocabulary: dizzy, social skill, permises, the industry,robbery - Grammar:should/shouldn’t 5. Attitude: - Help ss to have good consciousness in order to practice read for details, doing some exercises. B. Teaching- aids: Lesson plan, textbooks, pictures, poster. C. Methods: - Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work - Some techniques can be used: Chatting, T/ F statement prediction, Matching, Multiple choice. D. III. NEW LESSON Step 1 : Pre Reading(13ms) 1. Vocabulary: * Checking : What and where 2. T/ F statement prediction: - Sets the scene: We are going to read a text about video games. - Gets students to work dividually. - Gives feedback. Step 2 : While Reading(17ms): 1. Reading and Checking - Ask students to open their books and read the text on page 147. - Let students check their prediction. - Give feedback Key: 1. T 2. F 3. T 4. F 5. T 2. Matching : - Ask ss read A2 again to match. 3. Multiple choice: (A2 P. 148-149) - Ss work in groups of 6 to do A3 on the posters. - T checks and corrects. The knowledge needs to get: + Standard knowledge: Read and understand the dialogue, answer the qts(B1) + Advanced knowledge: Discuss about life in the city and life in the country . 4. Basic language: - Vocabulary: - The rest ,Awake,To scare,To hate ( v ) = to dislike,To get used to + N, Direction - Structure: Get used to Sometimes the noise keeps me awake at night 5. The knowledge needs to get: + Standard knowledge: Read a text for details and understand ,do exercise B3 + Advanced knowledge: Retell about Hao and say about activities in the evening 4. Basic language: - Vocabulary: Rarely, to socialize,regularly -Grammar: Prefer/like+ to (inf); like+gerund 5. Attitude: - Help ss to have good consciousness in order to practice read and listen for detalis. B. Teaching- aids: Lesson plan, textbook,tape ,cassette , pictures,poster. C.
