Aims: - Read the text for details about a healthy lifestyle. - By the end of the lesson ,Ss will be able to understand a text for details and further practice in Indefinite quantifiers. 2. Practice skill: - practice comprehension reading skill . 3. The knowledge needs to get: + Standard knowledge: Read the text for details about a balance diet, summarize a balance diet. + Advanced knowledge: Say about themselves and their family. 4. Basic language: - Vocabulary: an amount of, a diet , balanced , moderate , energy , (to) effect , lifestyle , dairy product - Structure: Why /Why not- Because 5. Attitude: - Help ss to have good consciousness in order to read the text for details. . B. Teaching- aids: Lesson plan, textbooks. C. Methods: - Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work - Some techniques can be used: Shack attack, T/F Prediction, Comprehension questions, Matching. D. WARM UP (4 minutes) Shack attack - Ask Ss to predict the words. III. NEW LESSON Step 1 : Pre Reading(13ms) : 1. Step 3 : Post Reading(7ms): Matching - Teacher sticks the poster on the board . - Ask Ss to match the items in each column to make a sentence to talk about “ a balance diet”. - Teacher models : To have a balanced diet , we should eat a lot of fruit… - Let Ss time to prepare then give feedback. - Teacher corrects. Aims: - Listen for specific information about what Lan , Ba, Hoa and Nga ate and drank for lunch and further practice in food vocabulary. - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to know what Lan , Ba, Hoa and Nga ate and drank for lunch by listening and further practice in food vocabulary. 2. Practice skill: - practice listening skill and writing skill. 3. The knowledge needs to get: + Standard knowledge: listen for specific information to choose the correct pictures. + Advanced knowledge: Talk and write about the content of the listening. 4. Basic language: - The tense: past simple tense 5. Attitude: - Help ss to have good consciousness in order to practice listening . B. Teaching- aids: Lesson plan, textbooks, pictures, cassette, cards. C. Methods: - Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work - Some techniques can be used: Jumbled words, Open- prediction, Comprehension question, Write it up. D. WARM UP (5 minutes) Jumbled words - Teacher sticks the cards on the board. - Divide the class into 2 groups. . - Teacher corrects and finds out the winners. III. NEW LESSON Step 1 : Pre Listening(12ms) : 1. Open- prediction - Have Ss look at the picture .p 121 - Run through the picture ( names of the food and drink ) Ask Ss to predict what Ba, Lan ,Hoa and Nga ate and drank for lunch. Each person ate 3 or 4 things - Write your prediction in your notebook - Give feedback - Collect Ss’ ideas and write on the board. Step 2 : While Listening(17ms) : Activity 1: Checking prediction - Teacher plays the tape for Ss to listen and check their predictions. - Ss listen twice. - Give feedback: Ss give their answers. - Play the tape again for Ss to listen again to check. Activity 2 : Comprehension question (Lucky numbers ) - Teacher prepares 10 pieces of paper with questions and “ lucky” written in them. -Ss work in 2 groups as at the beginning. - Check the rules of the game. - Let Ss play the game. - Praise the winners.
