Aims: talk about their favorite programs and the time of some programs on TV . 2. Practice skill: - practice the comprehension speaking,listening skill, listen for details 3. The knowledge needs to get: + Standard knowledge: Listen and understand the dialogue B1 Summary Nga and Ba’s favorite programs + Advanced knowledge: Ask and answer about TV and your favorite programs 4. Basic language: - Vocabulary: kind, cartoon , prefer, Sports show,weather forecast Structure:Like + to do /doing sth 5. Attitude: - Help ss to have good consciousness in order to practice speaking,listening skill, listen for details B. Teaching- aids: Lesson plan, textbooks, cards, poster. C. Methods: - Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work - Some techniques can be used: Jumbled words, Presentation dialogue, Comprehension questions, Word cue drill D. NEW LESSON Step 1 : Presentation(12ms): 1. Vocabulary : ( translation) ( example) ( explain) ( example) ( example) Checking voc : Slap the board 2. Presentation dialogue - Ask students to look at the picture and answer the question: What’s on TV ? - Introduce the situation of the dialogue , then ask students to guess what kinds of programs Nga/ Ba likes. - Call on some students to give their predictions Have students look at the book and listen to the tape and check their prediction . - Have students work in pairs reading the dialogue . - Call on 3or 4 pairs to read the dialogue in front of the class . - Correct their pronunciation. 3. Comprehension questions - Ask students to read the dialogue again to find out the answers for the questions . - Have students work in pairs . - Call on some pairs to ask and answer in front of the class . - Correct and give the correct answers : . Aims: - Further practice with the past simple, Indefinite quantifiers and imperatives. - By the end of the lesson ,Ss will be able to further practice in past simple tense, Indefinite quantifiers and imperatives. 2. Practice skill: - practice writing and speaking skill . 3. The knowledge needs to get: + Standard knowledge: Further practice with the past simple, Indefinite quantifiers and imperatives. + Advanced knowledge: 4. This tense always goes with: yesterday, last night/ week/ year, ago..... * Formation: S + Ved/ V2.... S + didn’t + V.... Did + S + V ... ? 1: Mapped dialogue Language focus 4 :1P. 123 Teacher uses the picture P .123 in the mapped dialogue Teacher models : S1 : Did you do your homework yesterday ? S2 : No, I watch TV Ss practice in halves/ pairs Teacher models : Activity 2: Write it up - Ask sts to work individually to write the dialogue again You: Did you do your homework last night? I played soccer Step2.Indefinite Quantifiers(L.F.4) P.124 - 125 - T. reminds S. again the way using a little / a lot of / too much by (Ss) matching the correct expressions to the picture. 1. A lot of và lots of • Cấu trúc: a lot of/ lots of + Danh từ (đếm được - số nhiều/ không đếm được) • Ý nghĩa: “nhiều…” A lot of = Lots of Lưu ý: Hình thức động từ theo sau cụm “a lot of/ lots of + Noun” được chia dựa vào danh từ đó. Ex: There is a lot of tea in the pot. 2. Many/ much • Cấu trúc: many + danh từ (đếm được - số nhiều) much + danh từ (không đếm được) • Ý nghĩa: “nhiều…” Ex: I don’t have many comic strips, but I have many novels. (Tôi không có nhiều truyện tranh, nhưng tôi có nhiều tiểu thuyết.) 4. Little/ a little • Cấu trúc: little/ a little + danh từ (không đếm được) • Ý nghĩa: “một ít/ ít…” Phân biệt “little” và “a little”: cả hai từ đều có nghĩa là “một ít/ ít…” nhưng sắc thái nghĩa khác nhau. -> Little: “ít”, mang nghĩa tiêu cực rằng “rất ít”, không đủ để làm gì (giống như sắc thái nghĩa của “few”, chỉ là hình thức từ kết hợp của danh từ khác nhau (cấu trúc khác nhau)). -> A little: “ít”, mang nghĩa tích cực, ít nhưng vẫn đủ để làm gì đó (giống như sắc thái nghĩa của “a few”, chỉ là chỉ là hình thức từ kết hợp của danh từ khác nhau (cấu trúc khác nhau)). Then Ss complete the dial, cues from the pictures (P.125) Ss practise speaking the D. in pairs open / close. Step3.Imperatives : 1. Form: +) Dạng khẳng định e.g: Open your book!/ Come in! Use: - Câu mệnh lệnh được dùng để ra lệnh cho ai đó phải làm gì hoặc không được làm gì. Practice skill: - Practice writing, listening and speaking skill. 3. The knowledge needs to get: + Standard knowledge: "too/ either/ So /neither." and imperatives + Advanced knowledge: Talk about the instructions on how to cook water spinach/ make mixed fruit. 4. Basic language: - The tense: simple present tense. 5. Attitude: - Help ss to have good consciousness in order to do some exercises and learn how to cook dishes. B. Teaching- aids: Lesson plan, textbooks, computer, projector, speaker. C. Methods: - Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair / group work D. Procedure : I. Structures: - Elicit: There are many kinds of food and fruit ? What food do you like? ? Do you like fish? ?What food don’t you like? ? Do you like fish? * Concept checking: Meaning, pronunciation, intonation, form: Ask Ss to repeat the use of too/ so / either and neither. - So, too, either (cũng vậy), neither ( cũng không) - So, too, either, neither - Khi nhắc lại một điều giống người đã nói trước ( cùng quan điểm với người khác) - So, too: Dùng cho câu khẳng định - either neither: Dùng cho câu phủ định - too, either: Đứng cuối câu - So, neither: Đứng đầu câu, đảo ngữ - Chú ý: neither: mang nghĩa phủ định, không sử dụng “not” trong câu. - S + am/is/are , too. can/must do/does/did - So + am/is/are + S can/must do/does/did - S + am/is/are + not + S can/must do/does/did - Neither + am/is/are + S can/must do/does/did - Trong câu rút gon, sử dụng “ to be”, động từ khuyết thiếu, trợ động từ. Step 2. Practice: 20’ - Model _T – WC _ Half – Half - Have Ss practice the dialogues (ex 3,4) in pairs ( open pairs – Close pairs) - Ask Ss to talk about the fruit and drinks they like. - (Have Ss play a game : Noughts and Crosses) • Imperatives -? What is this? ? Can you make it? - Give some ingredients, Ss choose some ingredients for Cucumber salad. vinegar, cucumber, flour, sugar , salt . cold, water, oil, onion, rice Ask Ss to check ( using the text book) . Ex 5. Imperatives Hoàn thành các chỉ dẫn sau. a) Peel the onions. Hãy lột vỏ hành. b) Wash the cucumbers and the onions. Rửa sạch dưa chuột và hành. c) Slice the cucumbers and the onions. cắt dưa chuột và hành ra thành lát. d) Mix the slices. Trộn dưa chuột và hành lại. e) Add a little salt, sugar and vinegar to the mixture. Cho vào một ít muối, đường và giấm. f) Stir the mixture. Quấy đều dưa chuột và hành. g) Wait for five minutes and the salad is ready to serve. Đợi 5 phút sau bạn sẽ có món xà lách trộn giấm để dùng. Remind about the imperatives: Ra lệnh, đưa ra hướng dẫn. Step 3. Production 10’ -Video: How to boiling the water spinach -Give cues ( Using the cards) Trim/ vegetable/clean Bring / pot / water / a pinch / salt / boil. Place / vegetables/into/ boiling water. Let / water/ boil/ again/ then remove/ vegetables from/pot. -Ask Ss to complete the instructions. Key. Trim the vegetables and clean them. Bring a pot of water with a pinch of salt to a boil. Place vegetables into the boiling water. Wait for 3-5 minutes and then remove the vegetables from the pot. -Give the comment. IV. SUMMARY 1’ Further practice in too and either / So and neither, imperatives V.
