Mô tả: LESSON PLAN - ENGLISH 6 The first semester WEEK 1: Date of preparing : 18/8/2017 Period 1. HƯỚNG DẪN CÁCH HỌC TIẾNG ANH 6 A.Objectives: 1. Aims: INTRODUCING THE SUBJECT AND THE METHOD OF LEARNING ENGLISH 6 - Hepl Ss have general knowledge of the subject and know how to study EL 6. Ss know the contents of the book “ Tieng Anh 6”. - By the end of this lesson, Ss will able to understand Sth about EL 6, know how to learn English effectively, know the content of “Tieng Anh 6”. 2. Practice skill: - Practice listening and speaking skills. 3. The knowledge needs to get: + Standard knowledge: To present the subject, student book, homework book, the way how to learn English. + Advanced knowledge: Answer some questions about the text book E 6. 4. Basic language: - Vocabulary: - Structure: B. Teaching- aids: Lesson plan, textbooks, pictures, poster. C. Methods: - Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work - Some techniques can be used: Chatting, Q & A, L D. Procedure : I.Organization: ( 1 minute) - Greeting: Good morning! - Who’s absent today? Warm up : ( 3’)Chatting - How are you today? - How many students are there in your class? - Who is the monitor? - Who is your form teacher? - Do you like learning English ? - Have you ever been to England ? - Do you know the shape of England on the map? ( England is like the rabbit ) - Do you know the area of England ? ( 244.100 sq km ) - Do you know the capital of E ? ( London ) III. New lesson : Teacher/ s activities Students/ activities 1. Introducing the subject of English (5’ ) - Do you know about position and role of E in the world? - Why do you learn E ? 2.The textbook Tiếng Anh 6 :( 10’ ) - How many units are there in English book? - How many sections are there in each unit ? - How many lessons in each unit - At the end of each unit we can find “ Remember”. It summaries the main structures and new words in each unit. - At the end of two or three units, we can find “ Grammar Practice” and Glossary”( bảng chú giải từ ) - T asks Ss to open their books. 3. T introduces to Ss some ways of learning EL.(13’) 3.1. Skill: 4 skills - Speaking: speak a sentence, a new word, a phrase, a topic......with classmates , teacher,....Beside speaking English in class , SS can communicate by English...etc. - Listening: Listen a dialogue , a paragraph ....to know or find out information and fill in blanks, or answer questions etc - Reading: Read a text or a dialogue .....then answer qts with information in text or dialogue..., or do T/F , matching.....By reading SS can understand the content of a text or a dialogue.....etc - Writing : SS can write a sentence, a paragraph , a story.....etc 3.2. Learn vocabulary, grammar structures. + Learn vocab. - SS should both read words in English and write them in papers - Write one or two example sentences with each new word in or to remember how to use the word in the right way. - Write each word and its use on the small piece of paper and stick it somewhere in house so as to learn it at any time - Should learn 6 words a day and usually revise them (Language learners should try different ways of learning words so as to find out the best way for themselves) + Learn grammar structures: - Learn them by heart and practice frequently by give examples, do exercises...etc 4. Present the class language 5’ + Stand up, please + Go to the board, please + Come back your seat, please. + Pick up your book + Look at the book. + Write down, please + Hand up, please + Keep silent, please + Repeat/ again Listen and repeat + Give me some examples + Learn by heart vocabulary + Answer the questions * Learning phonetics, grammar, vocabulary. Practice listening, speaking, reading, writing. • Gives the class regulations (By Vietnamese) Asks the students to rebuild the class regulations 5.Game: Lucky numbers. 5’ 1. lucky number! 2. Language focus d. Unit e. Grammar f. Topic English is international language and it is used widely in the world. We learn E to know the world of English and to join in the world of the new language. Learning E to know the culture of many countries which use E, to take shape and develop the skills of learning language. - Ss open the book There are 16 units 3 (A, B, C ) From 5 to 6 lessons - Listen and give ideas. - Take notes ( Ss discuss in pairs to decide some best ways of learning El.) - Listen and copy down - Copy down on the notebook ( May be in Vietnamese) - Rebuild the class regulations - Play a game IV. Summary :(2’) Having general knowledge of a new subject and know how to study EL 6. Ss know the contents of the “ Tieng Anh 6”. V. Put the new words on the board . Call on two ss in both sides to the front of the class standing at equal distance from the board. Call out one of the new words in vietnamese in aloud voice . Two ss must run forword and slap the word, the student who slaps the correct word first is the winner and get a mark. 2. T calls some pairs of SS to introduce themselves Ask SS to work in pairs, then work in groups of four T : Hello. My name’s Ngoc S1 : Hello . Objectives: 1.Aims: By the end of the lesson, SS will be able to use: - “ How are you?” , “ I’m fine, thanks” to greet each other. - Numbers 6 – 10 2. Practice skill: - Practice listening skill,writing and speaking skill. 3. The knowledge needs to get: + Standard knowledge: - Ask how people are. + Advanced knowledge: - Guessing to give numbers. 4. Pre- teach vocab: (8m) - T elicits some new words. Fine, thanks ( situation) : Khỏe, cảm ơn nhiều Miss (n) ( Explanation) : Cô ( xưng hô) Mr (n) ( // ) : Ông ( // ) Six (n) ( cue ) : 6 Seven (n) : 7 Eight (n) : 8 Nine (n) : 9 Ss: choral, individual Ten (n) : 10 repetition , then copy • Check: Rub out and remember. - Get SS to copy the words into their books and then ask them to close the books Rub out the new words one at a time. Each time T rubout a word in English, point to Vietnamese translation and ask “ what is in English?” When all English words are rubbed out , go through the vietnamese list and get ss to call out the English words or rewrite the words. 2. Presentation Dialogue: (5m) - - T sets the scene: Ask sts look at the picture about Ba and Lan. - Get sts to think what are they talking about. Ba Lan . . . . - - - Hello, Ba - Hello, Lan - How are you ? - I’m fine. Thanks. And you? - Fine, thanks. - T reads model. - Sts listen and repeat. - Pair work. * Model sentences: How are you? I’m fine, thanks. - Let sts look at the sentences above to give the form. * Form: How + be + S? - S + be + fine, thanks. * Concept check: a/ Meaning: (Hỏi thăm) bạn có khoẻ không? Mình khoẻ, cảm ơn. b/ Use: to ask and answer about the health. c/ Pronunciation: How are you? - I’m fine, thanks. Step 2. Practice: (15m) + A6 : Ask SS to practice in pairs + A7 : Ask SS to fill suitable words in blanks ( one word/ one blank)Then ask SS to practice in pairs Nam: Hello! Lan. How are you? Lan : Hi! I’m fine , thanks. And you? Nam : fine, thanks. Step 3.
