Procedures Teacher’s and students’ activities Contents ACTIVITY 1 (WARM-UP) (5’) a. Aim: Set the scene, lead students to the main part of the period. b. Content: Active words and structures c. Outcome: Ss’ understanding, ability of using the words and structures d. Organization: 1.Warm up: Kim’s game - Asks Ss to look at the picture on page 17 . Then let them keep the book close. - Divides Ss into four groups. - Gives Ss 2 questions, the group which answer the fastest wins the game. a. How many people are there in the picture? b. Aim: Students can memorize some new words b. Content: vocabulary, set the scene, structures c. Outcome: students can read and write the new words d. Organization: 2.Pre- writing - Introduce the aims of this part (write personal information about your friends) - Introduce new words: Checking vocabulary: Rub Out and Remember - Get Ss to read the information about Tam - Ask some questions about Tam to check her reading comprehension 1/ What’s his name? 2/ How old is he? 3/ What does he look like? 4/ What is he like? (Characters) 5/ Where does he live? 6/ Who does he live with? 7/ How many best friends does he have? Who are they? - Get Ss to read the paragraph about Le Van Tam 3. ACTIVITY 3: PRACTICE (20’) a. Aim: Helps students to speak and listen, understand the tasks, Write a similar paragraph about your close friend: b. Content: -answer the questions in the questionaire. c. Outcome: ss can do the task correctly d. Organization: 3.While- Writing Fill in a similar form.......prompts.
