Competence: - Linguistic competence, cooperative learning and communicative competence. 3. Quality: Love family and country, willing to participate in social activities, live humanty, cooperate with people around,… II. TEACHING AIDS AND LEARNING MATERIALS 1. Teacher’s aids: Teacher’s book, Lesson plan, power point lesson plan, Student’s book, workbook, notebook, smartphone/personal computer, projector/interactive whiteboard / TV, software … 2. Students’ aids: Student’s book, Workbook, Notebook. III. Procedures Teacher’s and students’ activities Content ACTIVITY 1 (WARM-UP) (5’) a. Aim: Set the scene, lead students to the main part of the period. b. Content: Active words and structures c. Outcome: Ss’ understanding, ability of using the words and structures d. Organization: 1.Warm up: chatting - Talks to Ss about using telephone. Do you have a telephone at home? How often do you make a phone call? What would you say when you pick up the phone to answer it? What would you say if you are the caller? Speaking: 2. ACTIVITY 2: PRESENTATION (15’) a. Aim: Students can memorize some new words b. Content: vocabulary, set the scene, structures c. Outcome: students can read and write the new words d. Organization: 2.. Pre- speaking : * .Revision Ask Ss some questions to check Ss, understanding and focus on the structure GOING TO a. Are they talking on the phone ? b. What do they intend to do ? c. What time are they meeting ? Where ? d. ACTIVITY 3: PRACTICE (20’) a. Aim: Helps students to speak and listen, understand the tasks b. Content: - answer the questions in the questionaire. c. Outcome: ss can do the task correctly d. Organization: 3. While - speaking : Set the scene “ Ba and Bao are making arrangements to play chess “ - Ask Ss to work with partners to complete the dialogue . - Call on some pairs to play the roles of Ba and Bao to practice the dialogue . - Listen and give feedback Ba : Hello . 8257012 -.> Ba : Hello , Bao . Organization: the message , compare with their predictions . - Call on some Ss to read their answers after checking . - Call on some Ss to read them aloud . Pre- listening : ( 5’) Setting the scene: “ You are going to listen a dialogue on the phone between a secretary of the principal at Kingston High School and a women” - Listen to the telephone conversation and fill in the missing information - T gives feedback I. ACTIVITY 4: APPLICATION (5’) a. Aim: Stundents apply the knowledge they learnt in practice b. Content: Discussion c. Outcome: students’s talks / writing d. Organization: 4.Post - reading Writing it up - Get Ss to write a paragraph about Bell,s life /others famous people using the information from the text . /in fact. - Call on some Ss to demonstrate their writings in front of class . - Correct mistakes if any and give Suggestions Homework: -.
