Objectives: - Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to get some knowledge about Christmas - Skills: Train reading for details about Christmas. - Competencies: Communicative competence, solving problems competence, cooperation and self-study competences. They can obtain some knowledge about some scenic spots in the USA . - Quality: Love studying, family and country, willing to participate in social activities, live humanty, cooperate with people around,… Ss are interesred in Christmas. * Disable sts: Ask Ss to complete the table. B. Teaching aids: Poster C. Procedure: 1.Activity 1: Warm-up (5’) a. Aims: help ss review some vocabulary about Christmas b. Content: complete the chart the topic “Christmas” on the board c. They can talk about their preparations for a festival. - Quality: Love studying, family and country, willing to participate in social activities, live humanty, cooperate with people around,… Ss are interesred in festivals. B. Teaching aids: C. Procedure: 1. Activity 1. Warm up: (5’) a. Aim: review the rice-cooking festival to elicit the new lesson b. Content: game “lucky stars” c. While-writing (20’) Exercise 2: P 127 Write the similar report on a festival you joined recently. - asks Ss to connect the sentences to make it a report - monitors and helps weaker students Eg: This report shows how the school festival was held The festival was held in the schoolyard. There were two competitions: volleyball and jug of war In the volleyball game, the were six students in each team and each class had a volleybal team. The played against each other and the 8C team had most points got the grand prize. There were ten students who took part in the jug of war Each class had a team and the 9B team won all the others got the first prize. The school festival was wonderful. it made all the students love their school and study better. IV. Objectives: - Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to use the passive forms in the passive in the past, present perfect and future tense - Skills: Practice in the passive forms in the Past, Present and Future tenses. Ss are interesred in practising English with the passive forms in the Past, Present and Future tenses. - Competencies: Communicative competence,solving problems competence, cooperation and self-study competences. They can talk about activities using the Present and Past Progressive and do a fifteen English test well. - Quality: Love studying, family and country, willing to participate in social activities, live humanty, cooperate with people around,… Ss are interesred in Christmas. B.Teaching aids: - Teacher: Poster - Students: text book, notebook, etc… C. Procedure: Teacher’s and Students’ activities Content I Warm up -T prepares 11 cardboards, numbered from 1 to 11 on one side and the words on the other side -T divides ss into 2 teams and ask each team to choose 2 numbers, one in the first row, if the words in both cards match in sequence of an infinitive with its past participle, this team will get a point III.
