Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to listen to the song for details then complete the song with suitable words they heard. 2. Attitude: Ss love learning English more. 3. Students: review the grammar points and vocabulary C. Procedure: 1. Organization 1’ Class Date of teaching Absent students 9A 9B 1. Activity 1: Warm up (5') (warm up/ check up/ setting the scene) a. Aims: check attendance and review exclamations b. Contents: questions c.Outcome: students' answers and make exclamations d.Organization: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities I . Check- up Greetings Who is absent today? What is the date today? Warm up: Chatting What do we say when we have a very beautiful day? When do we use the exclamations? Repeat forms of the exclamations. Greetings - Answer teacher’s questions. - We say: What a beautiful day! We use exclamations to give compliments and complaints. Repeat form: What +a/an + adj + n! 2. Activity 2: Listening (10’) * Presentation a.Aims: instruct ss to guess missing words, know forms of words in the blanks b.Contents: guess missing words in the blanks c.Outcome: ss have some ideas about correct forms of words in some positions d.Organization: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities a. Pre-listening - Sets the scene - Asks students to work in groups guessing the words to fill in the gaps. - Monitors then gets feedback. - Listen to the teacher. - Work in groups guessing the words to fill in the gaps in the song. 3. Activity 3* Practice (15’) a.Aims: improve word-listening skill b.Contents: listen to the song and fill missing words c.Outcome: ss’s filling missing words d.Organization: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities b. While- listening - Turns on the cassette. - Asks students to listen to the cassette and check the prediction. - Turns on the cassette again, asks sts to listen to again to give correct answer. - Asks students to listen and sing the song sentence by sentence, then whole song. c. Post-listening(3ms) Calls on some students to sing the song in front of class. - Monitors and corrects mistakes. - Listen to the cassette and check the prediction. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be read a paragraph for details about opinions, feelings and memories of children about their father on Father’s day in the USA and in Australia. 2. Competencies: Co-operation, self-study. 3. Behavior: To help students to know more about the love of fathers for their chidren B.Teaching aids : 1. Teacher:Subboard. 2. Students: Book, notebook III. Is it big? - What do you have to do to repay your Father’s kindness? - Read about the opinions, feelings and memories individually. - Check the prediction by comparing the adjectives which Rita, Jane, and Bob used to describe their fathers with the adjectives they have just guessed. - Read the text again, then work in pairs asking and answering comprehension questions on p 69. Possible answers: A. To her father. b. He is possibly dead. These ideas may tell about that: how much you are missed. Now I have chidren, Dad” c. His sence of humor. d. Homework Guides students to do homework and prepare writing for the next lesson. - Work individully,writing about feelings,opinions,and memories about your fathersThen compare with a partner. At home do homework then prepare wirting for the next lesson.
