Skills: - Further practice listening, reading and speaking skill. 2. Basic language: - Vocabulary: bell, recess, blindman’s bluff, catch, marbles, rope, excited, like, go into, indoors, to chat, to play catch / marbles / blindman’s bluff, to skip rope - Structure: Present simple tense and present progressive tense. + Standard knowledge: - Know the words about the activities at recess - Ask and answer about the activities which are happening in the pictures + Advanced knowledge: Describe the recess in their class 3. Vocabulary ( translation) ( synonym with speak ) ( explain ) ( picture ) (picture ) (picture ) ( mime ) ( explain ) ( translation ) - Sts listen. - Listen and repeat (chorally then individually). - Copy * Check voc: Slap the board 2. Presentation text (B1. P56 ) - Set the scene: Look at the pictures. The sts are at recess. Read the text to write down the recess activities in the text. - Ask students to go to the board and write , one by one. - Give feedback - Ask sts which activity is the most popular . - Give feedback. (Key : talking). 3. Revision the present progressive tense Form : S + ( am/ is / are ) + V-ing Use : To express an action happening at the moment we are speaking of it. Step 2: Practice (15’) 1. Picture Cue Drill ( 7 ) - Ask Ss to look at the pictures (B1.P56 ). - Ask sts to run through the pictures . - Teacher models - T- whole class => halves => pairs 2. Listening - Set the scene: Mai, Kien, Lan and Ba are at the recess at school.
