Mô tả: Date of preparing: 27/11/2020 Period 37 LANGUAGE FOCUS 2 A.The aims of the lesson 1.Knowledge -The aims: to futher practice in school subjects and the present progressive. ---Basic language: - Tenses: the present progressive + Standard knowledge: Remember school subjects and the way to use the present progressive. + Advanced knowledge: Make 5 sentence, using the present progressive. 2. Skill: to futher practice in school subjects and the present progressive. 3. Attitude: - Help ss to have good consciousness in order to further practice in school subjects B. Preparations 1. Teacher: lesson plan, English 7-book, computer, projectors 2. Students: review the grammar points and vocabulary, English 7-book, C. Techniques: - Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work,group work - Some techniques can be used: Mime game , Gap fill, Matching, Lucky numbers. D. Procedure: I.Organization: ( 1 minute) - Greeting: Good morning! - Who’s absent today? Class Date of teaching Absent students 7A 7B 7C Teacher & students’ activities Contents * Mime game - Have ss revise the present progress tese using recess activities vocabulary - Call on one student to mime one of recess activities infront of the class and get another students to guess by saying sentences - The students having correct sentences will take place the last chosen student and mimes another activity and the rest of the class continue to guess - The game continues with sentences: Step 1: Activity 1 Gap fill: 1 (p69) - T asks ss to read the Language focus 1 (p69) and complete the paragraph using the present progress tense. - Give feedback. Step 2: Activity 2 Matching - Ask ss to look at six pctures on page 70 and match the subjects to the suitable pictures. - Give feedback. Step 3: Activity 3 Lucky numbers - Write 12 numbers on the boards, from 1 to 12 - Tell ss each number is for a question but 4 of them are lucky numbers. If ss choose a lucky number , they do not need to answer any questions but they get 2 points and choose another number - Divide the class into two teams - Ask the teams to take turns to choose the numbers Questions : 1) What do you learn in a history lesson ? 2) What subject do you learn about books and writers ? 3) Lucky number ! 4) Do you learn about different countries in Geography ? 5) How often do you have English class ? 6) Lucky number! 7) Lucky number ! 8) What do you do in a computer science class ? 9) Lucky number! 10) What subject do you need pencils, paints, papers ?
