Attitude: - Positive about their lesson. - Students know how to learn English in right way. - Ss are interested in doing exercises. 4. Competence and quality: 4.1. Competence: - General capacity:self-learning ability, communication capacity, capacity to use language, cooperation capacity,… - Specilized capacity:English language ability, develop self capacity,.. 4.2. Aim: Set the scene, lead students to the main part of the period. b. Content: Active words and structures, word square. c. Outcome: Ss’ understanding, ability of using the words and structures d. Organization: Ask Ss to find out 7 adjectives : - Ask Ss to work in 2 teams - Ask Ss to go to the board and circle the word they find - The team which circles more words will win the game . ACTIVITY 2: PRESENTATION (15’) a. Aim: Students can memorize some new words b. Content: vocabulary, set the scene, structures c. Outcome: students can read and write the new words d. Organization: -TM: Play game, practising, discussion group, technical present…. -C: Co-operation, communication,… -Q: Love family, friends and country Setting the scene “ Hoa,s grand father is 78 “ - Five years ago , she was 73 and she was stronger than she is now . - Ask Ss to make a sentence about her health => Hoa,s grand father is getting weaker + Form : am / is / are + V-ing + Use : used to describe changes with get and become 3. ACTIVITY 3: PRACTICE (20’) a. Aim: Helps students to speak and listen, understand the tasks b. Content: - answer the questions in the questionaire. c. Outcome: ss can do the task correctly d. Organization: -TM: Play game, practising, discussion group, technical present…. -C: Co-operation, communication,… -Q: Love family, friends and country - Ask Ss to look at the two pictures on page 73 and talk to their partners about the changes of the town . The words in the box under the pictures may help you - Write the word prompts on the board so that Ss can speak easily - Get Ss to work in pairs - Monitor and help Ss speak Give feedback 4. ACTIVITY 4: APPLICATION (5’) a. Aim: Stundents apply the knowledge they learnt in practice play the roles of Lan and Aunt Hang to practice the dialogue b. Content: Discussion c. Outcome: students’s talks d. Organization: - Ask Ss to play the roles of Lan and Aunt Hang to practice the dialogue V.Consolidation(2’) the changes of a place.
