Procedure : Period 7 - 11 Lesson 1 : A1-2,4 Lesson 2 : B1,3 Lesson 3 : B4-6 Lesson 4 : C1 Lesson 5 : C2 WEEK 3 Date of preparing : 17/9/2020 Period 7 UNIT 2 AT SCHOOL Lesson 1: A1- 2,4 (P. 20- 21) A.The aims of the lesson 1. Knowledges + The aims: By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to: - Classroom Imperatives to understand the teacher’s commands. + Vocabulary: come in, sit down, open your book, close your book, stand up. + Structure: :- Imperative: Come in! Sit down! 2. Skills : - Practice listening, speaking, reading, writing. 3. Attitude: - Help ss to have good consciousness in order to use, understand the teacher’s commands. B. Preparations 1.Teacher : posters, computer, speaker, projecter 2. Students: Unit 2 A1-2,4 C. Methods: - Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work - Some techniques can be used: STB, matching, Mime Drill D. Procedure : I. Revision: (5m) Revision. Sts play a game with numbers. T. divides class into two groups. Each group has three sts to play the game. Sts go to the board and write the correct number in the blank. Which group has more correct answers and is quicker will be winners. ( Eg: Multiply 6 by 4 and you get 24 Divide 8 by 2, you get 4 Divide 4 into 20 (20:4) Two add three make five 7 minus 4 equals 3) III. New lesson *Step 1.Presentaton: 1.Vocab: (8m) come in (v): ( situation) : đi vào sit down (v): ( mime) : ngồi xuống stand up (v): : đứng lên open your book (v): ( // ) : mở sách ra close your book (v): ( // ) : gập sách lại • Check vocab: slap the board - Teacher reads English , and Ss slap the Vietnameses 2.Presentation text: (10m) A1 p.20 Step 2.Practice: (15m) T. asks sts to listen and do as T’s order. - Sts do A2 P21. T. gives two pictures as A2 p21 and the orders. Divides class into two groups, sts play game. Choose the order and match with the suitable picture. • Matching: A2 p. 21 • Mime Drill Teacher mimes: (Open your book) (Stand up) ( come in) Close your book) ( Sit down) • Simon says: A3 p 22. -Ask SS to listen and act or not - T shouts: Simon says “ sit down” Simon says “ stand up” Come in Simon says “ open your books" Close your books Step 3.Further practice: (6m) • Mapped dialogue - Set the scene: This is the dialogue between Miss Hoa and children. - Put the mapped dialogue chart on the board - Elicit the exchange from Ss. - Have some pairs practice exchange before going on to another exchange. - After finishing the dialogue , ask a good pair to demonstrate the whole dialogue. Attitude: Help ss to have good consciousness in order to use“ What’s your name?” and “How do you spell it?” with the Alphabet ( a -z) to talk about your name. B. Whole class repeat the dialogue chorally T continues rubbing out all the words- WC continue practicing the dialogue chorally. T asks SS to go to the board to rewrite the dialogue • Concept check.
