Objectives: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to - review vocabulary from unit 3 to unit 5; review language: people’s appearance and character, activities friends do together, free time activities, making plans, giving opinion, and traditional festivals around the world, review grammar: adverbs of frequency, Present Simple for future use. demonstratives 1. Knowledge and skills: - Vocabulary: word relate to people’s appearance and character, activities friends, traditional festivals, clothes and food. - Structure: adverbs of frequency, Present Simple for future use, demonstratives - Skills: Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening 2. Competencies: - Students can use the knowledge to complete the exercises, practice the language aspects in communicative situations. - They will improve reading, speaking, writing and listening skills. - They will develop the competences such as self - control, independent- learning, creativity and problem-solving. 3. Qualities: - Students are active to broaden and percept the knowledge - Students will respect Vietnamese cuisine - They will have the good attitude to working in groups, individual work, pair work, cooperative learning. II. Teaching aids: - Teacher’s aids: student’s book and teacher’s book, class CDs, flashcards, ISB software, projector/interactive whiteboard/TV. - Students’ aids: Student’s book, notebook, workbook. III. Procedures: Teacher’s and Students’ activities Contents Activity 1: Warm up a) Objective: to introduce the new lesson and set the scene for Ss to review the language learnt; to get students' attention at the beginning of the class by means of enjoyable and short activities as well as to engage them in the steps that follow. b) Content: Vocabulary revision. c) Product: Being ready for the new lesson. d) Competence: collaboration, communication, critical thinking. e) Organization of the activity:  MATCHING - T shows the exercise on the screen or give out handouts - Ss observe - T has Ss match festivals with the place where these festivals take place - T has Ss give answers Answer Keys Activity 2: Vocabulary a) Objective: Ss can review vocabulary about appearance, characteristics and activities, festival activities. b) Content: Writing the correct words from the unit on the lines. Filling in the blanks with the words from the box. c) Products: they can use these vocabularies correctly, confidently in communication. d) Competence: Collaboration, analytical and synthesizing skills. e) Organization of the activity: - T explains the exercise clearly - Ss work in pairs to write the correct words from the unit on the lines.
