Mrs Mai bought it. 2. Skills: - Practice the comprehension reading, writing and speaking skill. 3. Attitude: - Help ss to have good consciousness in order to practice reading for details, doing some exercises and use the questions with "Did..." to talk about past activities B. WARM UP (5 minutes) Pelmanism - Stick the cards with the verbs in infinitive and past form in one side and the numbers on the other sides on the board. - Give instructions. Divide the class into 2 teams. - Let Ss play the game. III. NEW LESSON Step 1 : Presentation(12ms): 1. Concept check : - Look at the example - Is the sentence question or statement ? (question) - What does the sentence begin with ? (did) - What come after it ? (subject) - Is the verb past form or infinitive ? (infinitive) - How many ways to answer ? ( two ways ) - What is the tense , present simple or past simple ? (past simple) Step 2 : Practice(17ms): - Ss practice making questions and answers using the grids. - Teacher models : S1 : Did her neighbor make her dress ? S2: Yes, she did - Ss practice in halves/ pairs Step 3 : Production (7ms): Guessing game - Ask Ss to prepare a piece of paper - Teacher writes the sentence on the board - Ss complete the sentence on their own and keep it secret. - Then ask a S to go to the front. - The others guess by asking these questions : + Did you go to …. Ordering: - Ask Ss to copy the verbs in their notebooks. - Ask Ss listen to the text and number the verbs in the order they hear. - Teacher reads : Hoa watched her neighbor make her dress. She decided to learn how to sew. First she bought some material. Then she made a cushion for her armchair. Next she cut out the dress. The cushion was fine but the dress wasn’t. Then her neighbor helped her so finally it fitted. 2. Recall : - Ss work in groups of 6 to retell how Hoa did the sewing work, using the information in the pre reading. - T goes around and helps sts. What does she want her not to do? 2. Skills: - Practice the comprehension reading skill, writing and speaking skill. 3. Step 2 : While Reading(17ms): (A1.P99) 1. Checking the prediction - Ss read the letter and check their prediction. - Give feedback and correct. 2. Answer given : - Teacher sticks the poster with 5 statements on it. - Tell Ss they are 5 answers for 5 questions . Ask Ss to make questions for these answers base on the letter from Hoa’s Mom. - Ss work in pairs to make questions. - Give feedback: Divide the class into 2 groups . Ss from each group in turns go to the board and write the questions . The group will more correct questions win the game. Step 3 : Post Reading(10ms): Question- Answer - Ss ask and answer about Hoa’s Mom letter , using the answer given and questions from a to e on page100. - Ss work in pairs to do the task. IV. SUMMARY (1 minute) - Reading a letter about Hoa and her family. V.
