The aims of the lesson 1. Knowledge + The aims: By the end of the lesson, SS will be able to: - Express their opinions about a problem and get Ss to different facts from opinions through reading. + Vocabularies: printer, manual, connect, plug, under guarantee, socket. + Grammars: Present perfect tense with yet and already. 2. Skills: - Practice listening, speaking, reading, writing. 3. Attitude: - Help ss to have good consciousness in order to read and understand the text. B. Preparations 1.Teacher: posters, computer, speaker, projector 2. Students: Unit 15 Getting started & Listen and read C. Methods: - Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work - Some techniques can be used: Slap the board, grid D. Procedure : I. Organization: (1’) - Greeting Class Date of teaching absent students 8A Activities Contents II. Checking ( 5 ms) - T leads into new lesson: (It is a modern machine. We use to type letter, send emails or play games. It begins with letter C ( Computer)). ? Ask Ss work with a partner. Make a list of how computers can help us. ? Call some pairs to make lists. - T focuses. III. New Lesson Presentation (15 ms). - T presents: You will hear a conversation between Mr. Nhat and Nam. You listen and tell me they say what. ? Ask SS listen to the tape one time. ? Listen to T and find out new words. - T guides SS to read new words. ? Call some SS read them again. ?Ask SS repeat the way to use present perfect tense. - T presents the way to use with yet and already. ? Ask SS take note and make other examples with them. 3. Practice ( 23 ms). ? Get SS listen to he tape one more time. ? Ask SS work in pairs to practice the dialogue. ? Call some pairs to practice. - T corrects. T explains “ Facts or Opinion”and guides SS to do exercise 2( Work in pairs). + Fact: a thing that is known to be true, especially when it can be proved. + Opinion: your feelings or thoughts about someone or something, rather than a fact ? Request Ss read the statements and check. ? Call some SS to give answers, others remark. - T corrects. 4. Production ( 5 ms). ? Call some pairs to read the dialogue aloud. - T corrects. - T repeats the contents of the lesson. 5. Skills: - Practice listening, speaking, reading, writing. 3. Attitude: - Help ss to have good consciousness in order to express agreement and disagreement. B. Preparations 1.Teacher: posters, computer, speaker, projector 2. Students: Unit 15 Speak C. Methods: - Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work - Some techniques can be used: Slap the board, grid D. Procedure : I. Take turns to express and respond to opinions about the activities in the pictures. - T guides SS to practice by example. ? Call some pairs to practice, others remark. - T corrects. Post – Speaking ( 5ms). ? Ask SS work in pairs to read the dialogue. Then change the role. ? Request SS work in pairs to make similar dialogues about these items. Use the information in the table in exercise 1. ? Call some pairs to make dialogues, others remark. - T corrects. -T repeats the contents of the speaking. -T repeats the contents of the listening. 4. I disagree with you because you can get cold in the rain for a long time. d) I think foreign food I delicious. So do I. French fries is my favourite one. Exercise 2: - Read the dialogue. - Make similar dialogues about these items. Use the information in the table in exercise 1. Example: S1: I'm having problems with my mouse. S2: What's wrong? S1: It doesn't work. I think it’s broken. S2: Let me see. No, you should check the Plug. It can be loose. It’s OK now. S1: Thank you. Homework - Learn by heart new words and grammar.
