Ss will be able to know some more about ao dai, the traditional dress Viet namese women. + Vocabulary: Words about clothing: types/ styles, colors, fashions, material, designs , poet, a long sick tunic, slit, inspiration, ethnic minorities, pattern + Grammar: To talk about an action or a state which began in the past and continues to the present. The passive (review ): be + past participle Write activities, interesting places which ss know or are on holiday. 2. Competence: - General capacity:self-learning ability, communication capacity, capacity to use language, cooperation capacity,… - Specilized capacity:English language ability, develop self capacity,.. 3. Quality: Consciously learn the traditions of the family, clan, homeland, willing to participate in social activities, live humanty, cooperate with people around,… II.Preparation: 1, Teacher's: text book, teacher’s book, sub-boards, pictures, cues 2, Students': text book, note book, chalks, pens III.Procedures T &S's activities The content of the lesson ACTIVITY 1 (WARM-UP) (5’) a. Aim: Set the scene, lead students to the main part of the period. b. Content: the traditional costumes of some countries . c. Outcome: Decide where each person comes from d. Organization: 1. Warm up: Quiz - Divide class into groups. Ask them to look at the clothes people are wearing and take turn to decide where each person comes from. T : Where does the women in picture a come from? S1: She comes from Japan T: How do you know she comes from japan? S1: Because she is wearing a Kimono. - The group who give the correct answer gets a point 2. ACTIVITY 2: PRESENTATION (15’) a. Aim: Students can memorize some new words b. Content: vocabulary, set the scene, structures c. Outcome: students can read and write the new words d. Organization: 2. Presentation * Preteach vocab: - Elicits and models -Ask Ss to repeat chorally and individually . - Check R . O. R -Copy in note book *Set the scene: You are going to read the text about the traditional dress of Vietnam * True or false prediction statement: - Ask Ss to guess true or false while closing the book -Ss work in pairs 3. ACTIVITY 3: PRACTICE (20’) a. Aim: Helps students to speak and listen, understand the tasks b. Content: - answer the questions in the questionaire. c. Outcome: ss can answer the questions correctly d. Organization: 3. Practice: - Ask Ss to read the text and check prediction -Give feedback and correction - ASk Ss to look at the book while listen to the teacher - Call some Ss to read the text - ASk the whole class to read the text in silent then do the exercise a in pairs - Give feedback - Call some Ss stand up to read their compete sentences - Ask Ss to read the text second time to answer the questions - Ask Ss to work in groups of 4 4. Organization: * Speaking - ASk Ss to use their own words to tell the group what they have known about "ao dai" (- To know something about Ao dai, the traditional dress of Vietnamese women. - Say something about ao ba ba Áo bà ba or Vietnamese silk ensemble) is a traditional southern Vietnamese garment. It is most associated with rural southern Vietnam, especially in the Mekong Delta. Often worn as a top and bottom set, the áo bà ba is typically a long-sleeved, button-down silk shirt with a scooped neck paired with silk pants. The shirt will be somewhat long and split at the sides of the waist, forming two flaps, customarily with two pockets.[1] Áo bà ba (hay lụa Việt Nam) là một loại trang phục truyền thống của miền Nam Việt Nam.
