Ss will be able to listen for spacific information, describe what people are wearing and know how to use the perfect tense + Vocabulary: - Words about clothing + Grammar: - Present simple, present continuous 2. Competence: - General capacity:self-learning ability, communication capacity, capacity to use language, cooperation capacity,… - Specilized capacity:English language ability, develop self capacity,.. 3. Quality: Consciously learn the traditions of the family, clan, homeland, willing to participate in social activities, live humanty, cooperate with people around,… II.Preparation: 1, Teacher's: text book, teacher’s book, sub-boards, pictures, cues 2, Students': text book, note book, chalks, pens III.Procedures T &S's activities The content of the lesson ACTIVITY 1 (WARM-UP) (5’) a) Objective: Introduce the new lesson and set the scene for Ss to acquire new language; get students' attention at the beginning of the class by enjoyable and short activities as well as to engage them in the follow-up steps. b) Content: Introduce words about clothing c) Expected outcomes: Ss get to know some new words they are going to study in the lesson. d) Organization of the activity: 1. Wark up network - Divide the class into 2 teams - Write the word CLOTHING on the board - Ask Ss from 2 teams go to the board and write the words relating to CLOTHING - Tell Ss the team which writes more words is winner 2. ACTIVITY 2: PRESENTATION (15’) a) Objective: Ss get to know words and phrase about clothing b) Content: - Vocabulary: announcement, Missing, an entrance, Fair, a doll - Guessing c) Expected outcomes: Ss know how to pronounce the new words / phrases correctly and use them when talking about clothing 2. Pre listening: * Pre teach vocab: -Elicits and models . -Ask Ss to repeat chorally and individually -Check R .O .R - Copy in note book * Set the scene: You will hear an announcement about a lost girl called Mary. - ASk Ss to look at the pictures on page 16 and answer the questions about each of them - Explain the clothes in the pictures : a) A: floral pants B: blue shorts C: polka dot skirt (váy ngắn có hoa văn chấm tròn) b) A: long - sleeved white blouse B: short - sleeved pink shirt C : short - sleeved white shirt c) A: Sandals B: boots C: shoes with flowers * Prediction: - Ask Ss to guess what is Mary wearing - Ss guess in pairs 3. ACTIVITY 3: PRACTICE (20’) a) Objective: Students can develop their listening skill. b) Content: Listen to a public announcement c) Expected outcomes: Students can listen and understand general and specific information about a public announcement d) Organization of the activity: 3. While listening: - Ask Ss to listen twice -Ss listen to the tape twice. - Now you listen to the tape again and check the letter of the correct picture to show what Mary is wearing. - Ss listen the tape once and check the letter - Then Ss compare the keys with classmates - Ss listen again to check the answer and give the answer on the board. - T corrects - Ss take note. - Ss correct the guessing . 4. ACTIVITY 4: APPLICATION (5’) a. Aim: Stundents apply the knowledge they learnt in practice b. Content: T/F statements c. Outcome: students’s Answer d. Organization: T gives some sentences. - Ss listen to the tape again choose True/False. - Then Ss give the keys on the board. - T corrects. - Ss take note. Ss will be able to understand the text for details, about Jeans + Vocabulary: - Words about clothing, phrasal words: made from, named after , embroidered jeans and painted jeans + Grammar: - Present simple, past simple. 2. Competence: - General capacity:self-learning ability, communication capacity, capacity to use language, cooperation capacity,… - Specilized capacity:English language ability, develop self capacity,.. 3. Warm up: T: asks ss play the game “brainstorming” about the jeans 2. ACTIVITY 2: PRESENTATION (15’) a. Aim: Students can memorize some new words b. Content: vocabulary: ma’terial ‘cotton, wear out , use something so much that it no longer works, or can no longer be used, style embroider, ‘label Introduce words about jeans c. Outcome: students can read and write the new words d. Organization: 2. Pre – reading: 1, Vocabulary: - elicit- repeat- copy-check Checking: W & W 2, Brainstorming:-Ask Ss the qts: What do you want to know about Jeans? Make qts. - Elicit qts from Ss: + Who first designed jeans? + When did jeans become popular?/ Why? + Where were jeans made? + what were jeans made of? + What are some famous jeans designers? 3. ACTIVITY 3: PRACTICE (20’) a. Aim: Helps students to speak and listen, understand the tasks to do the tasks b. Content: fill in the missing dates and words c. Outcome: the missing dates and words d. Organization: 3. While-reading: T: asks ss read the text and complete the sentenses T gives out the cues and asks Ss answer T correts. Ss read the text quickly and answer the questions Ss ask and answer pairwork T: corrects the errors. Some ss read the text again to check the pronunciation 4. ACTIVITY 4: APPLICATION (5’) a. Aim: Stundents apply the knowledge they learnt in practice b. Content: True /false sentences c. Outcome: students’s talks d. Organization: T : asks Ss to read silently again and answer True /false( groupwork) Having some ss read the answer T: corrects the errors. Homework Learn by heart the new word and read the once more. Prepare the next lesson “write”.
