Mô tả: Date of preparing: 25/8/2017 Period 4 UNIT 1 : BACK TO SCHOOL LESSON 3 : B1 - 3. A.Objectives: 1. Aims: - Ask for and give personal information : name , age , address. - By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to ask for and give personal information: name , age , address 2. Practice skill: - Drill listening, speaking and writing skills 3. The knowledge needs to get: + Standard knowledge: Introduce a new friend in the class; Understand and answer some Wh- questions and talk about some personal information; Ask about personal information of a friend in the class + Advanced knowledge: Tell about themselves, write wh- questions in the present simple tense; Make a similar dialogue to ask and answer about personal information of a friend in the class, and introduce the friend before the class; Write a passage about themselves and the friends in the class. 4. Basic language: - Vocabulary: family name, middle name, address, who, what, which, where ( revision) - Tenses: simple present. 5. Attitude: - Help ss to have good consciousness in order to practice read and speak for detalis, doing some exercises. B. Teaching- aids: Lesson plan, textbooks, poster. C. Methods: - Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work,group work - Some techniques can be used: Noughts and crosses, Presentation Dialogue, Questions-Answers, Word Cue Drill, Gap Filling, survey D. " How far " question and answer with " kilometers / meters " to talk about distances . + Advanced knowledge: Make a dialogue as B4; Rewrite the dialogue about some other places; Write a passage about a new friend: name, age, class, address, distance 4. Practice skill: - practice the comprehension speaking and listening skill. 3. The knowledge needs to get: + Standard knowledge: Listen the places that are mentioned in the text; Listen and write the distances; After listening, use the information from the text to ask and answer; Fill in the form with their own English information + Advanced knowledge: Make a survey table about information of 5 partners and represent before the class 4. Basic language: - Vocabulary: still, at recess, stamp, center, take the bus, letter, pocket, to post - Tenses: simple present. 5. III. NEW LESSON Step1. Pre-listening(11ms) - T presents the picture of the listening task. Ask questions: 1. What do you see in the picture ? - Ss name the places they see on the picture such as: post office, market, school, bus stop, movie theater, stadium, museum, hospital. - T asks questions: 2. Can you see Lan’s house ? 3. Is her house near or far from school/market/post office/ the theater? - Listen to a tape and write down the 4 distance from Lan’s house to the school, from Lan’s house to the post office, from the school to the movie theater, from the movie theater to the post office. - T asks Ss to predict the distance before listening to the tape. T takes notes into the listening table. Hoa I need some stamps. Where is the post office, Lan? Lan: It’s not far from my house . Come with me. Hoa How far is it from your home? Lan: Only 700 meters Step3.Post-listening(10ms) b) Survey : (B7p. 18) . T uses the poster. - Ask your classmates where they live and how far it is from their house to school and how they go to school then fill in the survey form. T can suggests some questions ( What...How...How far....). - Ss can go around the class and ask their friends . * Example exchange : S1 : What's your name ? S2 : My name's Hoa . S1 : Where do you live ? S2 : I live at 10 HXHuong street . S1 : How far is it from your house to school ? S2 : About 3 kms . S1 : How do you go to school? S2 : By bike . * Ss orally report back . Eg : " My friend's name is Hoa. She lives at... . It's about 3 kilometers from her house to her school. She goes to school by bike . " IV. SUMMARY (1 minute) .
