Grammar: - Tenses: Present perfect (with for and since) - Comparisons: (not) as…as; (not) the same as; different from 5. Vocabulary: - Words to talk about neighborhood: grocery store, stadium, drugstore, … II. Aims: By the end of the lesson ss will be able to listen and read a dialogue to know more about Na’s new neighbor. 2. Practice skill: - Practice the comprehension reading skill, speaking skill. 3. The knowledge needs to get: + Standard knowledge: Practice the dialogue and complete the sentences + Advanced knowledge: Ask and answer more questions about the dialogue 4. Basic language: + Vocabulary: since(prep) ;for, area(n); serve (v); tasty(a) ; pancake(n); try(v) + Structures : - Past simple tense - Present perfect with “since ” and “for” 5. Attitude: - Help ss to have good consciousness in order to learn hard and to be friendly to their neighbors B. Teaching- aids: Lesson plan, textbooks, pictures, poster. C. Methods: - Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work - Some techniques can be used: Matching, ask and answer, pair work, group work D. Post-listening:(10’) -T asks Ss to use the the information to talk about Na. 1.What’s this? ( an advertisement ) 2.Do you often read advertisements? 3. What are they about? *Vocabulary - The advertisements - phrases (page 65) Ss to guess what is in the blanks 2-3-4 1. Listen to the conversation. Then fill in the blank in each of the advertisement with one phrase from the box The key answer: 1-The Newcomer, 2-Town Ground, 3-English Speaking Contest, 4-Culture house. - Ss listen and compare their answer with their friends’ one.
