Knowledge + The aims: - Listen to the conversation between Hoa and the doctor to fill in the missing words, Practice speaking to complete the medical record. - By the end of the lesson ,Ss will be able to listen and practicing asking and answering about weight and height. - Vocabulary: male , female , weight - Structure: Which school does he go to? How tall are you? or What’s you height ? How heavy are you ? or What’s your weight ? How old are you ? or What’s your age ? It says on your form that you’re 40 kilos . 2. Skills: Listening, reading, speaking and writing. 3. Attitude: Sts will have attitude to take care of their teeth well. B. Preparations 1.Teacher: computer, speaker, projector, text book, cards for word cue drill, poster 2. Students: Unit 11 A2 C. Methods: - Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work - Some techniques can be used: Hangman, Prediction, Questions- Answers, Survey D. Procedure: I.Organization: ( 1 minute) - Greeting: Good morning! - Who’s absent today? Class Date of teaching Absent students 7A 23/2 Teacher's activities SS' activities II. WARM UP (4 minutes) Activity 1. Hangman - Check the rules of the game. - Let Ss predict the letters of the words. III. NEW LESSON 37’ Activity 2. Pre Listening 1. Vocabulary : ( trans) ( antonym) ( example) ( trans) - male (adj) : nam - female (adj) : nữ - weight (n) : trọng lượng What is your weight ? - heavy (adj) : nặng How heavy are you ? Checking : Rub out and remember. 2. Prediction (A2.P108) - Set the scene: After the nurse had a medical check –up to Hoa. She met the doctor to let her give the result to fill in the form. - Ask Ss to number the gaps. Then predict what words can be filled. - Let Ss some minutes to predict, when finished compare with the partners. - T gives feedback. Activity 3 : While Listening 1: Checking the prediction - Teacher plays the tape twice. - Ss listen and check their predictions and correct the false ones. - Give feedback. - Sts practice the dialogue with their partners. Activity 4 : Post Listening : Survey - Teacher draws the table on the board - S s copy in their notebooks - Ss work in groups of three - Teacher models with one student : T : What’s your name ? S : I’m Lan T : How old are you ? S : I’m 13 T : What’s your weight ? S : I’m 40 kilos T : What’s your height ? S : I’m 1,50 tall - Let Ss do the survey IV. SUMMARY (1 minut) - Listening for details and practicing asking and answering about weight and height V. HOMEWORK (2 minutes) Write it up (using the information from the survey). Eg : This is Lan . She is 13 years old. Knowledge + The aims: - Ask and answer questions about sickness, using the simple past, question forms and negative forms. - By the end of the lesson ,Ss will be able to ask and answer questions about sickness, using the simple past, question forms and negative forms. - Vocabulary: (to) have a bad cold , (to) have a headache , (to) have a virus , (to) have stomach ache , (to) have flu , (to) write a sick note - Structure: What's wrong with you? - I have a headache. 2. Skills: Listening, reading, speaking and writing. 3. Attitude: Sts will have attitude to take care of their teeth well. B. Today, She goes to school, and now she is talking with her teacher, Mr Tan. - Ss read the text and answer the questions (a,e,c,d). - Ss work in pairs, ask and answer the questions. - Teacher corrects.
