Listen to the /-ɪn/ sound. Notice the sound changes of the underlined letters. - Briefly explain the /-ɪn/ sound. - Have Ss listen and pronounce some more words as follows: - Play audio (CD2 - track 10) and draw attention to the pronunciation feature - Ask Ss to listen and focus on the /-ɪn/ sound (the underlined letters). - Play the recording again, have Ss listen and repeat with a focus on the pronunciation feature. Tasks c & d. Listen and cross out the sentence that doesn't follow the note in "a." We drove home quickly and called the police. I really believe he was an alien from another planet. C.
