Objectives 1.Knowledge -The aims:By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to read and understand the text about how students learn new words + Standard knowledge:Understand the new words, scan the text and find out the main ways that language learners use to learn new words, tick the true or false sentences. +Advanced knowledge:Discuss about learning words. -Basic language: + Vocabulary: list (n); meaning (n); mother tongue (n) ; learn …by heart (v); stick (v); so as to (conj); come across (v); underline (v) ; highlight (v); revise(v); revision(n); necessary(a); piece of paper, term(n). + Structures: Present simple 2. Skill: - Practice reading. 3. Attitude: Help ss to have good consciousness in order to read and understand the text. Educate students to learn new words B. Teaching- aids: Lesson plan, textbooks, pictures, poster/ computer, tablets. C.Techniques: - Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work - Some techniques can be used: chatting, matching D. Objectives: By the of the lesson, students will be able: 1. Knowledge: To review and practice grammar in 3 units. 2. Skills: To develop communicative skills. 3. Attitude:To be better in English grammar. II. Language contents: 1. Vocabulary: review. 2. Structures: review III. Teaching aids: textbook, chalks. IV. Techniques: asking, answering, pair work, group work. V. Teaching procedures: 1. Organization (2’): 2. Check-up:no check-up. 3. New lesson: Times Teacher’s and students’ activities Contents 5’ 10’ 10’ 5’ 5’ 5’ • Warm-up -T: have Ss play a game “Lucky number”. - T: give 6 numbers with 4 numbers have questions and 2 numbers are lucky number. - T: divide the class into two groups. - Ss: play the game. Choose the number in turns, if they choose a number which has a question they have to answer the question, if they choose the question which is the lucky number they have two marks but don’t have to answer question Which group has more marks that is the winner. Activity 1:(pair work) * Presentation: - T: ask Ss to remind the stucture with “enough”. - Ss: remind the structure. - T: write on the board - Ss: copy down in their notebooks. * Practice: - T: give exercise - Ss: do exercise in pairs, speak then write on the board - T: remark,correct. - Ss: copy the right sentences in their notebooks. Activity 2:(pair work, group work) * Presentation: - T: ask Ss to remind the structure of the simple tenses(present/past/future with be going to) - Ss: remind, go to the board and write. * Practice: - T: give exercise. - Ss: work in group of four, do exercise in their small boards then stick on the board. - T: ask others remark and correct if necessary. - Ss: copy the correct sentences in their exercise books. Activity 3:(group work) -T: ask Ss to call someadverbs of place. - Ss: recall. - T: have Ss do exercise in small groups. - Ss: present before the class. Activity 4:(reviewing) -T: review the question word “Why”and the answer “Because” Activity 5:(reviewing) -T: ask Ss to remind some reflexive pronoun. - Ss: speak before the class. - T: have Ss give example. - Ss: give example sentence which contains the reflexive pronoun. - T: correct Game: Lucky number Where do you live?
